Plastic stone repair and grouts for historic building restoration

"Plastic stone repair and grouts for historic building restoration" is one of several talks being delivered by the Cornish Lime Company in 2012.
Plastic stone repair is a recognised method of repairing historic buildings whilst retaining the maximum amount of the historic fibre. At a slightly larger scale, grouting is also used to retain historic walls and structures. This talk will also look at the latest progress in the development of grouts. The talk covers:
- The arguments for and against replacing historic stone and brickwork.
- Choosing the right material for plastic stone repair
- Good working practices
- Grout mixes and their compatibility with old buildings.
Date/time: Tuesday, 24 January 2012, 6.30pm to 8.00pm. Tea and biscuits will be available from 6.00pm.
Cost: FREE to 3CPD members and students; £20 (inc. VAT) for non-members.
