Anyone with an interest in construction and/or property is welcome to attend the Construction & Property Lunch Club's regular networking events. Lunches are held at the Savile Club in Mayfair.  Over 40 people attended a recent lunch.

The cost is £70.00 each (half price for first time attendees) - with a choice of hot buffet (and starters, pudding, cheese and coffee) and half a bottle of wine included.  Cash bar beforehand.

The EU's new data protection legislation, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), came into force on 25 May 2018.  Despite the legislation having been published two years ago and being only 88 pages long, there has been a shortage of easily-accessible, practical advice for smaller organisations, leaving many wondering what they need to do to stay on the right side of the law.

Fire and tall buildings - half-day workshop

"Fire and tall buildings" is a half-day workshop in which Neil Badley, Technical Director at MLM Group, will explore the issues relevant to surveyors associated with the Grenfell Tower fire and with other tall buildings. 

Neil will be familiar to many who have attended the Building Surveyors' Oxford Briefing conference in recent years.  With this half-day workshop format, we're giving Neil more time to go into details and to enable attendees to ask questions and promote debate.

John O'Halloran Symposia (a LionHeart event)

London, Cardiff, Manchester, Edinburgh

This year's series of John O'Halloran Symposia started in London on 9 May, before travelling to Cardiff, Manchester and Edinburgh.  Organised by LionHeart, the aim of these events is to challenge the stigma attached to mental illness and to raise awareness of the importance of positive mental health and wellbeing.

The first event in 2016, in memory of John O'Halloran FRICS, aimed to be a conversation starter within the property industry and act as a catalyst for change.

Investigation and remedial action for tree root damage to property

"Investigation and remedial action for tree root damage to property" is an extended version of the talk "Is that tree too close...?" given by Dr Giles Biddle at the Building Surveyors' Oxford Briefing 2017 conference.  In this evening talk, there will be more time to explore avenues of interest and respond to questions.

APC Final Assessment Revision Day (an APC Conferences event)

APC Conferences Ltd is running a Final Assessment Revision Day for those taking their final assessment in Session 1 2018.  The day will cover valuation, purchase and sale / leasing and leasing, landlord and tenant, RICS rules of conduct, inspection and measurement, and some additional competencies.

The course tutors are John Faulkner FRICS (who spoke at this year's Five Counties Conference) and Mark Hoffman FRICS.

PPN Spring Golf Day 2018

Tandridge Golf Club, Oxted, Surrey RH8 9NQ

The PPN Spring Gold Day will again be held at Tandridge Golf Club.  Tandridge's delightful course is set among mature woodland with spectacular views of the Surrey North Downs and the Kent and Sussex countryside.  Bacon roll and coffee before 18 holes in the morning, followed by 'The Tandridge Lunch', a four course carvery lunch and prize-giving.
